Terms and Conditions

By purchasing a license for the film “How to Sue the Klan" ("Film") from Civil Productions LLC, you ("Licensee") agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. License Type:

  • The Licensee is granted the right to use the Film in the specified format (DVD, Blu-Ray, or digital file) for internal purposes only.

 

2. Permitted Use:

  • The Film may only be used by the members of the Licensee's organization and must be accessible exclusively to authorized members of the organization. Access to the Film shall be restricted to individuals who are officially affiliated with the Licensee's organization, and any unauthorized access or distribution to individuals outside the organization is strictly prohibited.

 

3. License Options: 

The Licensee may purchase one of the following license types:

    • a. Single Screening License (digital delivery or via DVD/Blu-ray)

    • b. Permanent License (digital delivery or via DVD/Blu-ray)

    • c. Permanent License with Screenings (limited to one public screening per calendar year, unlimited internal screenings)

  • Type is reflected in the invoice.

 

4. Restrictions:

  • The Licensee agrees to refrain from engaging in the following actions: reselling, transferring, editing, or duplicating the Film; digitizing the Film in any file format; charging admission for screenings; sharing the Film with individuals or groups outside of the Licensee's organization; and altering or editing the content of the Film in any way.

5. Responsibilities:

  • The Licensee bears the responsibility of safeguarding the physical media (if applicable), ensuring that all users adhere to the terms outlined in this Agreement, and covering any additional fees incurred for screenings that surpass the agreed-upon limits (if applicable).

 

6. Copyright Protection:

  • The Film is protected by United States copyright law, and any unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.

 

7. Term of Agreement:

  • This Agreement shall remain in effect for the duration specified in the chosen license type.

 

8. Agreement Modification:

  • Any modifications to this Agreement must be made in writing and agreed upon by both parties.

 

9. Governing Law:

  • This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Tennessee.

 

10. Entire Agreement:

  • This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties and supersedes all prior agreements and understandings relating to the subject matter hereof.

 

11. Streaming Policies:

  • When granted digital access for a single screening, viewership is limited to 500 individuals. Additional views beyond this limit will incur a charge of $100 per additional 100 viewers. The streaming link will remain active for a 48-hour period, commencing at the discretion of the licensee.
